Enhancing Engagement at Live TedX Event

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, world-leading social platform TED runs a local, self-organised event in Clapham, London every year. At the TEDxClapham event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. Our challenge was to create a platform to enable the speakers to interact with and gather feedback from the audience of each discussion in real time.

Our Role

User Experience

We decided that a mobile responsive website would be the best platform for interaction for this one day, annual event, as audience member with a smartphone would be able to use it regardless of their operating system. We designed the interactive pages to align with the famous TedX branding and to ensure fast loading time and a seamless, user-friendly interface.

Our Role

Live Interaction

While each speaker was presenting on the day, the audience were delivered live profiles and updates via their TedX app. This was followed by a beautifully designed, multiple-choice question and answer interface to let the organisers know what the audience learnt from each experience. These responses were collated at the end of each talk and displayed visually on a large, live screen at the event to encourage further audience and speaker interaction.
